Typography | Floodfonts free fonts including Polaris
Floofonts have some interesting free fonts to download. I particularly like Polaris, which can best be described as a chamfered slab serif with the large blocky serifs you tend to get with slab serifs but with the angled serif you tend to get on an oldstyle serif. The other fonts are various display faces which can come in handy.
Bigfish - circus style woodcut slab serif based on Clarendon
Hydrophilia - quirky geometric sans-serif
Squid - blocky sci-fi
Moby - rounded sci-fi
Hammerhead - faux black letter old style
Ordchidee - faux Asian calligraphic style
