Layout | Rugby World Cup 2011 round one

Now that the first weekend of action is complete for the Rugby World Cup, I thought that I would update my two score sheets and repost, one a calendar, the other an atlas. Click on the images below to get full resolution PDFs.

Layout | Taxonomy posters of Super Powers, Wrestlers and Heavy Metal Bands

Pop Chart Lab — Prints.

Pop Chart keep bringing out great taxonomy posters, showing groupings of names. Previously I have linked to Beer and Rappers.

Now here are Super Powers, Wrestler Names, and Heavy Metal bands. Click on the images to go through to Pop Chart and see the pictures in detail.

Layout | Celtic Explorations annual report

A great looking annual report in black and white by Foundry Communications. I really love the graphs in here, and am impressed how well they are done without colour.

Elevador Headline Font Specimen on Typography Served.

A fun type specimen book with lovely quirky illustrations.

Layout | Austin Energy Annual Report

Great looking annual report, with a lovely green eco-friendly feel to it. I like the subtle wavy lines in the design which give both the impression of a finger print, and also of stamps and travel.

Layout | 2011 Rugby World Cup Calendar Prediction

Here is my first prediction for the upcoming Rugby World Cup, using the style that I used for the Football World Cup. I have of course plumped for my own team, New Zealand, to win on home soil. I have made the bold call that Samoa will beat Wales and get through the pool of death into the quarter finals. I think that Australia will beat Ireland to come top of pool C, but that could depend on the dodgy New Zealand spring weather. The other tight pool game will be Argentina and Scotland, which I predict Argentina to win. I will update this as the tournament progresses, and no doubt I will come up with a couple of other formats.
