Layout | Swissted punk posters in the Swiss style

Swissted is a great project by Mike Joyce, combining two of his great loves; punk rock and Swiss modernism. The result are modern punk, rock and indie posters produced in the sixties Swiss style using Akzidenz Grotesk. Here are some of my favourites, there are plenty more on the Swissted site. It would be great to see the original poster to compare style and see whether the Swissted design is an abstraction of the original, or completely different.

Layout | Bon Iver gig poster

A great Twitter inspired poster for the excellent Bon Iver. I love the custom high contrast western wood type font.

Pop Chart Lab — Prints.

Pop Chart keep bringing out great taxonomy posters, showing groupings of names. Previously I have linked to Beer and Rappers.

Now here are Super Powers, Wrestler Names, and Heavy Metal bands. Click on the images to go through to Pop Chart and see the pictures in detail.

Layout | Pitchfork music festival app

Pitchfork 2011 for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad on the iTunes App Store.

Lovely looking iPhone app for the Pitchfork music festival. The app is nicely laid out and has a consistent indie music poster feel to it. The typography and icons also work well with the retro circles and lines look.
