Eye Magazine’s Flickr photostream is full of clean layouts with great illustrations from their poetry edition
Beautiful retro lettering for aeroplane magazine enViva by Jacqui Oakley, which along with the oversized flowers and 50′s pin-up girl gives a great flavour for the subject matter.

Great layout of the Jazz Journal. I love the lettering on the cover, the simple texture added by the black and white patterns, and block red to make elements stand out.

There are some interesting page layouts in the new Loyola Law School viewbook. I like the large numbered cover, and simple section heads and the columned information pages.
I am not so sure on the large photos with haphazard boxes plastered all over pointing to areas. I think these spreads would have worked better with a grid pattern aligning the boxes like they did with the numbered cover.
Cool big numbers

Hilarious brochure by Chris Doyle, called This Year I will Try Not To, which pokes fun at all the online design fads of the past couple of years. Expect others to copy…

Great looking layouts for Everyday Magazine by Mikael Fløysand. I like the repetition of the the triangle and circle shapes as semitransparent blocks in the layouts to highlight areas, especially quotes. The magazine is also bang on trend with the underlined and crossed out geometric sans, and seems to be trying to move this forward by combining the style with italics and serifs.

The beautiful Maybourne Guide to dining in London designed by Ramon Marin. The guide is nicely split by meals using tabs. The page spreads follow an elegant stule with large thin grotesks paired with bold didot numbers. The photography is food porn heaven.
