Layout | Minimalist Star Wars Posters

I love these minimalist Star Wars posters by Travis English. Check out his tumblr site for more posters such as Dr Who and Harry Potter. Just like the movies, the posters for the original trilogy are probably the best. The posters use simple silhouette illustrations of key locations and protagonists for each film. View other nice Star Wars posters here, here and here.

Layout | Typo Vader

Taking a similar concept to the simple Star Wars Force of Typography posters, this is an amazing illustration of Darth Vader using his quotes.

Layout | Awesome Star Wars posters

Awesome Star Wars posters by Olly Moss. Each poster uses a central character for each film, and illustrates it using the landscape. C3PO’s eyes are Tattoine’s two suns, Bobba Fett’s helmut uses the sky city and Vader’s helmut is formed from the forests of Endor.

Following on from H-57′s Force of Typography posters, here is Boba Font (Fet) by Fabian Glez.

Layout | The force of typography

Great advertisements for the H-57 Creative Station’s fictional Typography Design Institution, playing on the Star War’s “may the force be with you“, to emphasize the importance of typography. The representations of a storm trooper, Darth Vader and Yoda using glyphs are very well executed. I also like the layout of the advert with the key in the bottom left and shield in the bottom right. The style is followed through in H-57′s website. Click on the images to view larger.

Layout | Star Wars Prints by Andy Helms

Three great posters for the original Star Wars trilogy by Andy Helms, employing a beautifully simple illustrative style and exaggerated kerning on the thin type.
