Branding | FIA Gran Turismo
Nice update and extended branding for FIA GT motor racing. The focus is primarily on their main brand of GT1, but works very well with the other GT2 and GT3 brands and the different countries.
The icon does very well at containing the T in the negative space of the G and integrating the number. The geometric curves and three dimensional space give a nice manufactured feel, appropriate for motor racing. The accompanying typography is sized well and neutral to not take too much attention.
I think the extended branding is what I like best. The flags look brilliant in the same shape as the icon and a new twist on the web 2.0 look.
In comparison with the old logo, this is a huge step forward.
