Typography | Keeping the weight the same despite the text size

Interesting article on the development of the slab serif Charlie font family. The different weights are designed so that you can pair them up at different point sizes while maintaining the same stroke weight.

Originally designed to work in an exhibition environment, this conceit would work well in many different evironments. I could imagine this looking great in minimalist reports with large thin headings the same weight as the small body text.
